Bench Bigger, Look Better

11/16/2009 1:46:47 PM - Frank
I have torn the meniscus in both knees, neither is severe. I have been doing the rehab exercises recommended by my therapist, but she is clueless when it comes to strength training. When do you think I should start lifting heavier weights again, and how should I approach it? The clicking and popping is gone from the left knee and almost gone from the right. I would appreciate any thoughts.

Frank

pls resub this question again 2 the rehab crew here

i trained quite heavy and hard for months with a torn mensiscus and didnt know it was torn due to delays in the MRI w/insurance companies, etc.

my main lift was the zercher squat and I routinely performed sets of 3 - 5 reps with 365 lbs

1 1/2 days after mensiscus surgery, with stitches in, i started dragging the sled and the prowler, i got back into training asap ad my knee never felt better

so keep it strong, all the way till surgery day

strength is the answer kids, go get some,
