Thanks to our newbie, Kyle Scully, for showing up and sticking around to train with me today. I probably would have quit after the shirt work if he hadn't
Daniel's had a rough go of things lately. This past Saturday he spent the night at a friend's house after the meet and had his car broken into to. They stole a bunch of things that would be useless to them, including a bag full of his powerlifting gear. That just sucks. Well, yesterday morning I got a call from Jim Becker, who is an OBB member. His nephew, Matt Bloom, is a trainer at OBB and got the Westside Barbell PT certification a couple of years back. Because of this Jim knew about Powerlifting and the gear. When he called he asked if anyone was missing a pair of briefs. I assumed he meant that he found some at the gym, but then he told me he was out riding his bike with his family when he saw some briefs on the side of the road. He thought that was odd, went to the end of the street and returned to check it out. He then realized there were 3 pairs of briefs, a squat suit, and Metal squat shoes. He just happened to find all of Daniel's gear! I thought that was pretty cool since the chances of that are pretty much none. Daniel needed something good to happen, even if it came from a bad situation. Thanks again Jim.
