A unique honor I’ve maintained throughout the years.

I started competing in Powerlifting in 1995, primarily in bench only meets and then in the AAU and USPF. One of the first big meets I did was the AAU Junior Nationals at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in 1997. They took my picture at the meet, used it as a full page ad to advertise in Muscle and Fitness and other Bodybuilding magazines with the slogan “Countdown to Liftoff!” and posted my picture on the wall with the likes of Tiger Woods and other famous athletes surrounding it. It still stands to this day in Disney's Wide World of Sports Field House, more than 12 years later. Pretty cool.

Who says I'm not pretty enough to be a poster boy, Brian Schwab
