Hi Shelby, I've done some online homework re: DC training and I know you and Justin use this style quite a bit. In reading some of Dante's stuff, he prescribes using "12-15 deep breaths" between the three mini-sets within the top rest pause set. Has this guideline evolved at all or is this still the best rest period range on the top set in your experience? And do the 12-15 breaths change depending on the bodyweight of the lifter?

Thanks for all you do,
Scott

Scott,

12-15 deep breaths is still the standard DC protocol as far as I know.

I saw the 5 deep breaths on a Dorian Yates DVD (where he was training Mark Dugdale) and started doing it a couple months ago.

I prefer it as it saves a bit of time in the gym, and it's also more intense.
