Regarding the bench press, Dave and Louie have suggested that I "drive my heels" into the floor during the set-up to keep pressure on my upper back. After bringing the bar down, I should then "push my body away from the bar." Does this mean that I should then drive my heels more forcefully into the floor to get the bar off my chest? I've noticed that I tend to slide up the bench doing it that way. I greatly appreciate your help.

Trip 7 mofo generator,
If you are pushing yourself through the bench, I don't know how you are sliding up the bench. So if you are sliding, then you are not pushing through the bench. And yes, you should be pushing VERY HARD with your feet.

Thanks for the question,
Jim Wendler
