For Sick of You Gym:

First, I am not sick of my gym. We have great small commercial gym, populated by competitive powerlifters, bodybuilders, figure competitors, a couple of former pro athletes, etc. Several of us have brought in our own equipment (some from EFS), including bands an chains. Usually, people who want use them are welcome to, and they normally ask for help and advice on how. And then there's this guy yesterday:

Young, in shape local college athlete. Walks in the door, sets up to bench in the power rack. Does no warm up or stretch, loads 315 on the bar. Then hangs a chain from each side (with no lead chain, so half is always off the ground). Then, he hooks up reversed average bands, and proceeds to crank out reps. With chains AND reverse bands. After 4 or 5 diminishing sets, he breaks all that down and proceeds to squat with 2 plates on the bar against choked light bands. In a smith machine.

I give up.

It is times like those when education and extending a helping hand can go a long way. BUT...sometimes it's better for everyone to shake your head and keep moving.
