Just a general newbie question. I currently weight between 210-220, was thinking of competing at the 198 class. Would i have to be BELOW 198 to be in that class? If I'm not below 198, would that mean id be in the next weight class which i think usually is 220s. thanks.

Ian,
Yes, that is what it means. To compete in the 198 class, you must weigh in at or below 198 (or possibly 198.4 depending on federation). If you are over, you would have to compete in the next class up.
