I see in your videos that you sometimes grab the bar to push the stone over with your chest. Do you train to do this in purpose or is it accidental? THankyou
First, I must say that if you are competing in the North American Strongman, Inc. federation, that this technique is no longer allowed for stone over bar. If you are competing in a competition for US Strongman or US Strength Coalition, or an unsanctioned competition however, I think it is still legal. So to answer what you actually asked, no, I do not train to do this on purpose. It actually happens because I did not load the stone high enough or push it forward far enough to get over the bar on the first try, so it is sort of a second effort to help get the stone over the bar. I have never attempted a rep with any weight to any height and gone into it with the plan to grab the bar - it has always been an instinctual thing. I hope this helps you and let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thought I lost a nipple doing it once,
