I am competing in my first powerlifting meet since high school(9 years). How would you recommend setting up my attempts based on percetages? Also, what do you do 2 weeks before and the week of the meet?
Thanks in advance
I would open with a weight you usually do for 5 reps.
For your second, Take a weight you can usually triple.
Either match, or break your 1rm by 5-10 lbs n your third.
Your first meet (or first in a long time) should be about making attempts and establishing prs for the training cycles that will follow.
I would take your last heavy training session at about 10-14 days out. After that, only assistance work. Total rest for the last 3 days or so.
