how does muscle burn more fat scientifically? Such as what is the process the body under goes that causes the body to burn more fat with more muscle mass.

Muscle does NOT cause you to burn more fat specifically.

Muscle is however an active tissue, meaning your body requires calories to maintain it. So as you gain muscle, your basal metabolic rate goes up. These calories can certainly come from fat, but they can also come from protein or carbohydrates as well.

"Muscle burns fat" is another one of the many over simplifications propagated by the fitness industry.
