This isn't for the site. We'll never meet; I'm not strong; but, I'm getting better. Just know that every time I get tired, or want to skip a session, or try to find an excuse to cut a set short, I think about what you're going through, and how you're responding -- and how quickly you'd trade places with me just to be able to lift without the pain and illness. What you're doing is a constant reminder to never take the next rep for granted, and I want you to know that when I do finally reach my goals, it's people like you that showed me how. Thank you, and we'll see you back at full strength in no time.
I can't say thank you enough so I will just say, Thank You.
I will not lie and say that I am not afraid and that I don't have a great deal of pain in my body right now, yet I still train. I've trained through pain since I was a little kid and this is no different yet it is completely different.
What I do should not be glorified in any way. When you see me in the gym you may feel inspired but what you see is a guy that is desperate. The gym is THE ONLY place that I want to be at that very moment and no where else in The World. Not watching a movie, not playing video games, not at the mall, not out to eat, not having a romantic fantasy with Ms August. I want nothing else than to be right there living in that very moment...so that is exactly what I do. I live in the moment, every moment.
Don't glorify it. What you are seeing is one man's sick and twisted obsession. This is my dream and I refuse to let go of it, no matter how much it hurts.
And trust me, it hurts physically, mentally, and emotionally.
