I am having issues with the floor press. My ribcage is big enough that when I do floor press, I am essentially going full ROM. Do any of y'all have recommendations as to how to get the benefits of floor press in this situation?
Same thing happens to me and I still get a lot out of the floor press.
It's still a valuable movement because you're eliminating leg drive and focusing on brute upper body strength.
If you'd like to make it more of a partial movement, just place a mat or two on either side of your torso so that your elbows make contact before the bar touches your chest.
