In regard to Jerad's question, how do you vary the volume and percents with singles?
Thays a tough question. I do that based on how far out the meet is and the length of the meet prep cycle. If a meet is far out I will have a longer gradual raise in percents.If the meet is close the percents will jump faster as needed. Anything over 90% I'm doing singles. The higher the weight the less amount. I think a good rule is 4-6 with 90 up to 1-3 with 95%. The goal for me is to make sure the last few weeks are light and fast for recovery. I adjust everything based on that.
