Knee Sleeves. I have been lifting heavy for 10 years now and i have developed some knee pain right behind the patella. I also was a catcher for 20 years. I should have expected this would happen one day. Either way Im reading about the benefits of knee sleeves but i have no idea where to start. I have never worn any sort of gear. I read about Rehband - 3MM, 5MM, 7MM. Of course I researched Elite's Sleeves. They look very heavy duty and im not sure if i need that much. I have no pain walking. no pain with 1/4 squats. i have pain during parallel squats and i thought knee sleeves would but i need some guidance. thanks

First, ice and Advil as needed.

Second, if you're looking for warmth, the Rehband sleeves are the best. The thicker ones will give more support. If you're not looking to spend much money, any neoprene-type sleeve will be fine. I started with the Dick's knees sleeves for $15. Now, I use the light EFS sleeves and will get a pair of Rehbands.

Also, put some heat (Ben-Gay, Icy Hot, etc... on your knees and pull the knee sleeves up BEFORE you start warming up. This is just a Band-Aid, but I always feel better when I do this.

Hope that helps.
