Hey Mark, Got a hopefully fairly simple question on supplementation. Im gonna be training for a football combine/pro day that will happen some time between February and March. Although i don't have much time, what would you recommend me taking for speedy recovery after hard workouts in the gym and on the field and to add size/strength and help muscular endurance but not size to slow me down? I don't eat the cleanest like a body builder but i do eat whole foods and everything. Was thinking about taking just creatine monohydrate to add in maybe intra workout amino or protein shake, but if theres anything else you'd recommend thats pretty simple and basic that would be awesome. Thank you!
I am a HUGE fan of Plazma by Biotest. It has no comparison. It literally allowed me to take my training from 4 to 7 days/week a couple years ago. This was shocking considering I wasn't new to working...I'd been training 20 years.
If you want to limit carbs then I would go with something that contains essential amino acids, beta-alanine and citrulline malate.
Intra-workout nutrition is so important that I suggest whether you can afford to take Plazma or the EAA, Beta-Alanine and Citrulline Malate combination that you take them pre/intra-workout.
All the best,
