This isn't training related but I was hoping to get your advice. My sister was just diagnosed with Lymphoma. She isn't sure which type yet. She has had Rheumatoid Arthritis for many years (she is 43 and has had that since she was about 22). Anyway, apparently it may (probably) have been caused by the treatment she's received over the years for that condition.

In any case, I was wondering if you knew of any resources I could get for her? Books or websites or authors, organizations? I don't know really. She is living in Spain and will be treated at Barcelona's best hospital I understand. I'm in Canada, so I guess I'm just looking for stuff I could send her or direct her to? Resources that might be helpful in some way. Not sure what to do.

Anyway, any advice you have would be great.

Hey Brad,

Sorry to hear that.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society website has a lot of informative articles. I'd start there.

There's a lot of junk on the internet (in almost every area), and cancer is no exception unfortunately so I'm hesitant to recommend that she spend much time online.

I got a lot of help out of the live strong foundation site. They have a guidebook for patients that's free that was helpful

Tell your sister to stay strong, and let her know she can beat this. I beat it twice. It can be beaten, it's not a death sentence.

Stay Strong,
Alwyn Cosgrove
