Love reading the training logs.. I am a fairly new strength coach that works with a lot of high school/college aged athletes. I was wondering what books you believe every coach should read on strength or periodization that could apply to this population .. Or just books on strength that really helped you along the way!

Hey Matt!

Congrats on getting into the strength field. There's nothing quite like it!

As for books and the age group that you're working with... Here are a few that I would look into:

The Westside book of methods by Simmons

Children and Sports Training: How your Future Champions Should Exercise to Be Healthy, Fit and Happy by Dr. Jozef Drabik

5/3/1 by Jim Wendler

Starting Strength by Rippetoe

Build a Better Athlete

The Coach's Strength Training Playbook

The Revolutionary 1X20 RM Strength Training Program

Others include:

Science and Practice of Strength Training

Science of Sports Training

Hope that helps!!!
