i have some pain when i squat. its at the top of my leg just under the hip, basically where the leg muscles start. i've been pausing on parallel and that seems to be where it hurts the most. could this just be some soreness due to the added stress of pausing on parallel or do you think its a sign that something is screwed up in there? i feel it the most on light warmup sets and it seems to diminish as the weight gets heavier.
Pause squats are indeed harder, but it could be other things as well.
Are you hitting the same depth no matter the weight?
What does your warm up look like?
Can you video your pause squat and send it in for analysis?
