Coach,

Update on the Hip. I have entered "maintenance Mode" as my Physio put it. We know what irritates it and we know what helps. So until I see the Surgeon we don't change anything.
-I am currently waiting for an appointment with the Ortho Hip Surgeon. He is supposed to be pretty good.

Imaging:
X-rays -Bone spurs on front (proximal?) of femoral head, femorla head no longer concave, definite impingement, mild arthritis
MRI -Bone spurs, Arthritis, cartilage missing from Femoral head and inside of Pelvis, signs of excess synovial fluid. No labrum tears visible and ligaments intact.
Dr sent me for blood work because of the extra fluid. Just a precautionary and to eliminate anything else.

So that is where I am at. Keeping it pain free and grinding out where I can. Doing my research so I know all the options the Surgeon will have for me. I will be asking about PRP and Stem Cell Therapy as well. Just to see what he says.
Now all I can do is wait. Thank you for all your Help.

Peter,

I don't want to over simplify, but heck, a quick shaving, a cool buffing out, add a good coat of wax and some WD-40 and we should be back in business.

Get a roll bar and a crash pad for the "itis".

Let me know what the Doc says. You my friend, keep it interesting for sure.

Harry Selkow
