Hi Jim.

Maybe you have answered this question before but here it is: You have said other lifts other than the big 3, like power clean and even curls can be fit into the 5/3/1 program. What about the hip thrust. I have just started Judo after a long gap and feel should do this exercise. Can I program this into the 5/3/1 program or should just use it as an accessory exercise? Please guide.

They can fit but you have to make serious alterations to the sets/reps. I do not recommend using it for more than 4-6 total lifts because of the simple fact is NOT EVERYTHING IS THAT IMPORTANT. Curls and hip thrusts are nothing more than assistance lifts and unless you are seriously injured and these are the only lifts you can do and progress on, DO NOT MAKE THEM PRIORITY LIFTS.

Get strong as hell, be mobile and get in shape. I suggest you make "total training" goals and address them at each 3-6 week session. From here, you can evaluate your training weaknesses and make a better program for your needs.
