7/4/2007 7:39:03 PM - Jeremy
Mike Ruggiera
I read in your training log that you changed your stance. How so? Also, how do you do a standing crunch? Is it by using a high cable pulley?
Jeremy,
I changed up my stance and the way I perform the squat by not going as wide and instead of sitting back as you would performing a box squat, I go pretty much straight down like an olympic squat. I started doing this because I wanted to put more muscle on my legs. Years of box squatting took a toll on the size of them. Not to sound like a bodybuilder but I want to be as big as I am strong and strong as I am big.
As for the standing crunch, I just face away from the lat pulldown machine grabbing both ends of a strap and contract my abdomen. Some may call this exercise another name.

Live strong, Mike Ruggiera
