Before lifting today, I helped with a segment for NY1, New York City's Channel 1 news channel. This is pretty huge since I believe it gets a few million viewers each day.

The segment was through Men's Fitness, and features Sean Hyson and me. The piece is for guys who want to bring up their legs, and is centered around squats, deadlifts and lunges. I did about 20 squats with 135 and 15 deadlifts and some lunge...I was definitely sweating afterwards, and I hope my legs aren't sore tomorrow, haha. I'll try to get up a link when it airs next week sometime.

I'll be taking an epsom salt bath tonight and getting a recovery massage tomorrow.

Meet Plans

Squat- 391/424/???

Bench- 281/298/???

Dead- 502/546/???

These are certainly subject to change as they need to be. In the past, I've made the mistake of only seeing the numbers I want, rather than thinking of the numbers that I actually have in me. It helps to have a plan, but be flexible.

On a positive note, I don't have much anxiety right now. I used to have trouble sleeping a few nights before and be really anxious, but I've come to peace knowing that I've done all I can do at this point. I will keep a clear head and make smart decisions.

This is my last post until after the meet.

REPRESENT,
Matt McGorry
