So, I've begun overtraining this week in order to "earn" my 12 day vacation. I figure that if I can impose enough fatigue on myself, that I'll actually need the rest rather than taking it when I'm recovering just fine. Neurotic? Possibly, but whatever.

*The plan today was to do as many sets of triples as possible with 85% of my meet max. I really only expected to get 5 or 6, but kept going until I felt that I couldn't get another triple. I got eleven triples and one double. If I had known I'd get this many, I would have used 275-285lb.

I kept the rest at 3 minutes so I'd have some time-frame. I probably would have kept increasing my rest period until I started pissing blood from muscle breakdown if I didn't use a stopwatch.

This should get fun when I do the same thing with squats tomorrow.

If my knees and elbows aren't sore by the time I leave for Europe, I'll consider this myself a failure.
