This works out to be (7896)87# of my best walk out squat in competition. i have been asked to put % in my log this i can do but not always.
i personally have only used % for things like box squats and good-mornings .mainly because gains on these lift reflect on a main lift.
i think for this reason my log may be somewhat hard to understand so let me try to explain.
i try not to set limits on what i can do. i have goals and every time i hit the gym i strive to reach those goals.
i see a 10 pound PR as at the end of 12 weeks as a waste of time. I'm not saying that's bad it just not for me.
i visualize where i want to be and that's how i set my training program up.
case in point back in 2005 i think my best squat was 804 that April that was my max. i set my goal at 1003 this opposite of what everyone does right. well with the help of chains and bands that December i squatted 970 with a lot left in the tank.
my point here is I'll do the % but it's not always based on what I'm doing now .it's more like what i know and feel i can and should be doing.
just so you guy's don't think i'm crazy my first comp.
