Saturday Week 16 Day 1 and Meet training Update

Saturday puts me exactly 16 weeks out from the meet I'm planning on doing. Now that I have a meet and a plan, its time to start getting after it. going to be doing the Block Periodization again, because I will be training by myself, and it makes Wendler insane. I will be training with the weekend guys at EFS, but Im the only one, as far as I know, doing this meet, and I know that if one of the other guys is doing it, they're not using the same plan I am.

That being said, the plan is for a 14 week meet cycle, so I have 2 weeks to gear up before it starts. Goals for this mini block are to keep a bar off of my back, and mostly out of my hands, really push the pace and volume, and get in a bit of shape before the Accumulation Block starts. I plan on starting the actual training block January 22nd.

I trained with Ted Saturday, just to break up the monotony of doing it by myself. He is at a similar point in his training, so it worked well for both of us.

5 minutes on the Stationary bike

PVC roller Quads, hams, IT bands, upper and lower back

Static Stretching

Close Stance Belt Squat to Blue Foam box
2 plates x10
3 plates x10
4 plates 5x10

All exercises were done as supersets 5x10 each
1A Single leg curl 45lbs
1B Lat Pulldown 140lbs

2A Hip Thruster Machine Bodyweight
2B Pulldown Abs 90lbs

3A Monstermini knee aparts
3B TKE with Green band

Got done in less than 90 minutes. Wasnt too bad. ted was cramping and hating his life. hes a sloppy fat shit.
