This Weeks Training So far
Headed out to EFS Saturday to squat. Saturday marked 11 weeks out from the meet, I thought it would be a good opportunity to get in the gear and see where things were at. Looking back at it, this was a good idea, as the results were subpar.
My bodyweight is back down to 280 or so and NONE of my gear fits. I get some support from it, but the level it is at right now is nowhere near what it should be. Normally, my briefs and suit leave the tops and insides of my upper legs bruised for a few days, and sometimes draw blood. When I got home Saturday and jumped in the shower, there were no marks to be found. The weights were pretty telling as well. Here is how it went:
515x1 (briefs on)
605x1 (suit on)
785x1 (reverse band)
The 785 felt solid on my back, but didn't move well at all. Much much slower than it should have been. It wasn't a 100% effort, but I thought it was a good place to stop. Going to be better next week.
8 plates plus the 400lb sled
Seated Calf Raise
3 plates 3x12
Rope Pulley Pulldown Abs
80x3x12 These were BRUTAL. Did them on the big pulley hanging in the back.
SUNDAY AND MONDAY
I woke up at about 930 or so Sunday morning and started finishing up on las minute projects and stuff for school, as I had Finals Monday Ended up going to bed about 1130 or so Monday evening. Thank God for Adderall and Monster. And yes, I have a script for it. Ive got that ADHD. Whoops!
This was going to be my deadlift day, as it was last cycle, however, with some of the changes in programming we have implemented, I think the extra rest day after squatting will help. Did 75 swings with my kettlebell instead.
Was heading to school to take my last final at 5pm; which is rush hour here in Columbus. My car decided to explode in the traffic. Needless to say I missed the final, and the deadlifting I had planned to do after. Got the final rescheduled thanks to the wonders of email.
