Saturday - squat day w/VIDEO


Squat w/Mastadon:
Jack brief
added Jack suit
840x1 - straps up
950x1 - last warm-up
1050x1 - opener
1130x1 - around a second or so

Had to get out, plus it was a billion degrees today.

Chad Walker came out today, and looked good. We helped him out with his form some, and he should be ready for some big weights come pro/am time.

I felt pretty good today. I'm adjusting to the new gear, and I feel that I need to get lower on all my attempts. No excuses, just need to do it. both my 1050 and 1130 felt easy. I NEED TO GET LOWER, THOUGH.

Pretty much done with heavy squat/dl work until the meet. I will take an opener dead and an opener squat w/reverse bands before the meet, but that's really it.

Bench, is what will be my focus and form and depth on the squat, being the gear is new to me.

Now, time to get some rest. Been a heavy week. The 1130 is a gym PR, so thats a good sign. Meet PR is 1145.

The goal for the pro/am is to PR. I dont care about anything else.

I thank God, My Wife, Dr Est, Dr Amy, Alicia, and my training partners for helping me get right, and encouraging me/helping me recover, because 3 weeks ago, I pulled out of the meet because I couldn't squat 730 due to severe pain. Everything now is GRAVY on the taters.
