Another Fun Sunday, VIDEO
Planned an easy day. My headache was so severe after training Thursday that by the night time I had to get an injection to get rid of it. An hour later the headache was gone but I had a knot from the injection that hurt so bad that I didn't sleep at all that night. IMAGINE!
My leg was still killing me and swollen on Sunday but not greatly limiting. It was a deload day anyway.
Deadlifts with 55 lbs chain 675 + 55 chain x 3
Strict Axle Press in KG lots of warm ups 75 x 2 x 2 85 x 2 x 2 95 x 2 x 2 105/231 x 2 x 2 120/264 x 1...PR
Atlas Stones (leg was hurting) 230 x 1 to 61 inches
GHR BW x 4 20kg plate x 4 35kg/77 lbs x 3...torn hamstring on 2nd rep
ABS BW x 4 20kg plate x 4 35kg x 4 or more
Came home and went straight into ice! It's not a severe tear since I can walk and sit on the toilet. If you ever wonder if you have really torn your hamstring the KEY QUESTION is "Can you sit on the toilet?". If the answer is yes...you didn't tear it badly.
I'm taking every precaution and doing everything that I possibly can to make sure that this thing heals as fast as possible so I'm ready to train hard as soon as possible.
***If anyone wishes to send me a jar/bottle of ThermaFlex liniment (the best thing I've ever used for torn muscles) I'd be very freaking appreciative! Ben Gay and IcyHot are both great too (generic is what I used to buy).***
**Note** Stathis had virtually no sleep after working nearly 24 hours. He struggled on deadlifts and then somehow woke up to set PR after PR! He is on fire and you won't want to miss his training!
Ham-Strung!, Clint Darden
