Tues - Conditioning in my vibram five fingers (cringe)
Dumbell complex 15 lb dumbells 3x10 with 2.5 minute rest between each complex
Alt bent over rows
Pushups (doing them from knees, too much pressure on my shoulder otherwise)
Alt overhead presses
These are all super easy as they should be with 15 lb dumbells. Although I must say the burpees kick my a$$. I am just working on conditioning and gpp for a few weeks so I am not worried about strength.
I have a confession to make. I have become one of them. I got myself a pair of vibram five fingers. I spend as much time in my life barefoot as I can. I also have minimalist shoes for work and I must say my back and joints feel great. So, I took the plunge. The vibrams are a bit odd at first, but I have really enjoyed training in them for a few sessions. I would never squat in them and I don't know that I would do my heavy bench work in them (gonna try them out to see), but I could not imagine there's a better shoe to deadlift in. Lastly, the reverse lunges and burpees were much easier than the last time I did them in sneakers. It was really nice having the flexibility with my toes for those exercises. If you like being barefoot, you should give them a try. By the way, I followed the sizing instruction on their site, and my pair fit perfectly right out of the box.
Lastly, my ART Doc was very surprised that I do burpees. He did not answer whether it was because he did not think I could do them or because I am a powerlifter that I'd bother. I suspect the earlier.
I feel a WOD coming on,
