Wednesday DL training at NBS Fitness in Memphis
Went and checked out the new gym here in Memphis last week. Let me tell you, it was a sight to behold! Fully stocked wall to wall with Elite FTS equipment... any powerlifters wet dream! Ill be moving over there with my crew this week. It was just a great environment, no frills, no bullshit (Hence the name NBS), and Dave seems like a real cool, real laid back guy.
So on to the training. Hit some DLs tonight. Nothing crazy, just some speed work to test out the leg as its still tight and sore; just breaking it back in slow.
-DLs at 60% for 5x5, only about 2-3 min rest between sets. -kroc rows- 65x20, 85x20, 105x25. First ive really done these and kinda like it. really works the core and the biceps... and the lungs. -tried some OHP but my shoulder has been actin up where i havent been active with my stretching since the meet. Skipped. -45 degree back raise- no weight, 5 x10reps
Thats it. just cruising right now trying to get everything pulled together to crank my training back after the Arnold Classic March 5th. If any one is there, stop by and see me in the Animal Cage; ill be there all weekend. Im supposed to squat on Sat probably around 10-12 im not sure b/c they havent released the final schedule but thats usually about when i go. Gonna try a NO/NO/NO squat. Ive only played with it once before, and this will be my first time back under the bar since the injury... so ur gonna see something really cool- that is a great lift, or an epic fail- either way should be fun to watch.
