Another rough but satisfying deadlift session today. I wasnâ€™t really looking forward to it but ended up getting every rep I programmed myself for.
555 plus 40 in chains x 3
555 plus 80 in chains x 3
555 plus 120 in chains x 3
555 no chains x 7
Shrugs with cambered bar: 4x15
Standing abs: 4x8
I was especially proud of my young training partner Don today. Just a few months ago he started training with me his PR dead was only in the 470 range and today he hit a gutsy top set of 455 plus 120 in chains for a triple, then 455 x 6. I have to say that today I was truly inspired by him, and not wanting to look like a slack-ass loser in front of him was my only reason for doing as good as I did.
