Sumo pulls? What? Friday training.

Today is always our back day but since it is a light week I asked the boys what kind of deads they wanted to do. Bob had just watched some Mark Bell video online about sumo pulling and wanted to do some. Believe it or not, in all my years of lifting, I have never tried sumo deadlifts. It took me a lot of warm-up sets to get a feel for it and once I got the hang of it I kind of liked it. I wasn't very strong at it just yet but I kind of like how it was working a whole new set of muscles. We might do some variations of sumo here and there in our training from now on.

Sumo deads: worked to top sets of 405x5x3

Bent over rows: 315x4x8

Superset- lat pulldowns/dumbbell pullovers 3x15

I am giving in to the demand and putting out these 'Do You Even Lift' t-shirts. I should have them within the next two weeks for sale in my online store. That's right, you could be wearing my head on your chest for all to see making my famous "Do you even lift?" face.
