Monday - Bench and the rest of my pre meet week thus far

Monday

Warmup
Bench, worked up to 405x1
Fat bar d-rows 100 3x10

Contrast shower

Interesting notes about Monday's work. First, I really only warmed up my upper body before taking weight and my lower body did not like that. I immediately got off the bench and foam rolled and warmed up my lower body. I guess this whole mess is connnected somehow.

Regarding the work, I never bench the week of a meet. However, I have noticed I feel better doing more work. I know 405 would not be taxing and I could dial in some form issues a little. I can't tell you how great my pecs felt afterwards. Inactivity is the devil.

Tuesday

Airdyne 20 minutes
Softball roll pecs/shoulders/back

Wow, my upper back has been tight. Plus I have noticed when I foam roll my lats/back in a certain way I can feel it in my constantly nagging right pec/shoulder. I figured I would report that to my ART guy for Wednesday

So I told the doc about how putting pressure to my back in a certain spot effects my pec. He immediately told me how this whole mess is connected. Strange I thought, I've had this feeling before. He even showed me some anatomy chart on the wall. I told him I did not care all that much and I just wanted him to fix me. Sure enough, that's what he did. I felt quite refreshed leaving the office.

When I wake up in the morning the first thing I usually do is try and wedge my hand behind my back and pop my right shoulder. It's pretty much a subconscious thing. Well, I remembered in the shower this morning that I did not try and pop my shoulder. It just never occurred to me. Anyway, I made the motion I usually do to pop the sucker and there was no pain or pop. I'm cured! I'm not quite that stupid, but it's a nice feeling to have that bit of relief a few days before the meet.
