CVSPS Seminar Review
I'd like to first thank Jay DeMayo, Yosef Johnson (Ultimate Athlete Concepts) and the staff at the University of Richmond for putting on yet another phenomenal seminar. After doing this for a few years, I can assure you that they're getting very, very good at putting on a clinic that rivals any I've ever been to in terms of professionalism. The guys at Richmond are great, their hospitality was much appreciated, and I can't want to get down there again next year for the 2013 "Woodstock for Meatheads."
The material presented was worth the trip. This was my first time meeting Mike Robertson and hearing him speak. He's a great guy and one of the things I came out of this weekend with is a new appreciation for what he does and how he can help me help my athletes. I'll definitely be investigating his methods a lot more (and generally making myself a royal pain in the ass via email and the phone).
One other thing that was cool was sitting at a table watching Jason Pegg and Cal Dietz from the University of Minnesota argue about GPP (and lots of other shit). If you're a Division I program, you need to offer Pegg a job, or at least bring the guy in for an interview.
Finally, dress shirts, shorts, and boat shoes is not a good look, and if you wear this to a bar, a group of really strong angry guys will likely buy you a round of buttery nipples, and there's probably not a hell of a lot you can do about it.
Proud to not be in the Boat Shoe Mafia,
