The truly inspired
Since my training today was just me in knee rehab mode and none too exciting I figured I'd post this instead.
I have been getting emailed a lot of pictures from people that buy the shirts that I sell. These pictures usually range from confusing, to sexy, to hilarious. But this one came with a really cool email that I wanted to share. I never realized that writing my silly little stories and my training log had any affect (or effect, I never know which one) on some people.
I'm forwarding you some pictures of my wife and I wearing our DYEL? shirts. The story here is that we decided we had to have our picture taken at Q'Doba (it's like Chipotle down here in South Carolina) because ever since I read your log about eating a double chicken burrito every Friday night, we have gone and done the same at least once a week.
I realize my wife and I are candidates to have someone look at us and ask, "Do you even lift?" but we both work extremely hard in our garage weight room, and we are thankful and excited for every day we get to train. We are competing in our first powerlifting meet in August which has added a lot of focus to our lifting.
Your training log has really meant a lot to me in the past year, and it has helped give me confidence in the gym, at work, and just with life in general. Sometimes dealing with jerks at work gets me down or stressed, but then I remember that at the end of the day I get to go home and deadlift and I start to fee like The Dominator. My wife and I aspire to one day own our own gym, and in the next year we plan on getting up to Iron Sport for a training session. Hopefully when we do we can meet you and ask you some questions. Thanks for everything. Take care. Mark Henrion"
Thanks a lot Mark, it's nice to see you housing up on that burrito like a champ too. Keep pounding away and stop by if you ever get up to Phillyhood.
