Headed out to Odd Haugen's to train events.

Yoke-Started on the Yoke, it was light (700 pounds) and I was FAST. I did 8 reps of 60' and made the last 5 in 6.5-7.5 seconds. I think working more on a lighter yoke and just going for footspeed will be important for me as I know I have the strength for as heavy a yoke as I'll ever need to do.

Farmers-Farmers were light too (275 per hand) and again I was making the runs in around 7 seconds.

Stones-Just did a couple series of 275, 335, 355. These are still a work in progress but I'm getting better every session. I wanted to take a shot at the 420 stone today but my back, hamstring, lats (really everything) were still pretty shot from the week's work.

Shield Carry-Odd has a 400 pound shield that you may have seen in Strongman Super Series events, it was very oddly shaped and I was having an extremely hard time getting it into a carrying position, in fact I never actually did...and then I dropped it on my left big toe. I don't think the toe is broken, just the nail is crushed. The Europa show I'm doing has a Husafel carry for max distance. Odd said that the H-Stone that they will most likely use is easier to get into carrying position than this shield, but regardless this event needs WORK.
