Friday: DEAD lifting and new shirts are in stock!!

We had a max deadlift test scheduled for today and my warm-ups felt really sharp and nice. I pulled 585 with perfection and wanted to hit 675 as my final lift but it was not to be. I told the guys it was a because of my freakishly low bodyfat levels. But two of my partners hit lifetime PR’s again. The kid pulled 535 (a 70lb improvement since Jan) and Pop Pop Bob pulled a gut busting 600lbs (a 100lb improvement in 12 months).

I really think the lack of heavy squatting is making my legs progressively weaker which is killing my deadlift. That’s why I think I feel so great on my warm-ups and then hit a wall when the weight gets a little heavy.

Hammer seated shrug: 5x15
