Good luck big Tone

I just wanted to give a big shout out and say good luck to a member of Iron Sport, Big Tone Barbaccio, who is competing in “Vinny D's Last man Standing Bench Off” this Saturday the 28th in Lancaster PA. Vinny has come up with a pretty cool concept for this contest, he explains it here:

“The rules are simple. The bar will start at 700lbs for heavyweights (221lbs and up) and 550lbs for lightweights (220 and lower) and jump 50lbs each round. You can have one missed attempt and retake the weight at the end of the round. Any ties go to the lighter of the two lifters.”

Tone is really the backbone of powerlifting down here at Iron Sport. He runs a huge crew of guys and is always there to support his guys at every meet any of them go to and never sits down. He is either tirelessly coaching, spotting or loading, even if he is lifting in the meet as well. He is also a monstrous beast of a man, his true size falls somewhere between full size sperm whale and stone henge. As you can see by this photo, Tone is a very light-hearted, fun guy and not as scary as he would appear at first glance.

Good luck to all the lifters this weekend. For more info on the meet email the meet promoter Mr 1000lbs himself Gene Rychlak:
