Tuesday Training

Last night I came home from the gym and my wife was waiting for me with a tape measure in her hand. I was thinking “uh oh, this could go either way.” She asked me if she could measure my neck and I was thinking of lord I hope she doesn’t want to buy me some guido necklace for Christmas or something. She puts the tape around my neck and says, “oh twenty two inches, wow.” I search for a polite way to say it but all that came out was . . . “Please tell me you’re not going to buy me a necklace or something.” She said “No, I’m going to buy my mom one and I wanted to see how long I should get it.” Holy shit, I don’t know who should be more insulted, me or her mom. So I basically have been busting my hump in the gym my whole life to have the same size neck as my seventy year old mother-in-law. Great.

Power cleans:
50kgs x 3 sets of 5
70 x 3 sets of 5
90 3 sets of 3
100 5 sets of 3

High-bar squat:
60kgs x 8
100 x 8
140 x 5
160 x 3
180 x 3
205 x 3 singles
140 x 10

Leg extensions:
4 x 15

Glute Ham Raise:
3 sets of 8 with harsh band tension
2 sets of 20 just bodyweight

Standing abs:
4 heavy sets
