Week 5 Day 1 - Squast & Deads

I will be out of town from monday-friday this upcoming week, so I needed to squats in yesterday to bench saturday then pull again sunday and complete week 5. This session went great, check it out:

Warmed up

bar x 10

235 x 2 x 4
325 x 3
Briefs on
505 x 2
595 x 1
Suit on
705 x 2 reps
675 x 2 x 1 reps

Pause geared squats
655 x 2 reps
635 x 5 x 1 reps

Pause deadlifts
245 x 2 x 5
335 x 4
425 x 2
455 x 2
425 x 4 x 2 reps

On the pause squats, I was able to get better and better in control, deeper and deeper as well. The last two or three were to depth, which is great considering the weight. The pause in the hole intensifies the pressure from the gear, you feel like any second you're going pass out. Today my form and technique felt great though. So, very happy about the squat right now.

The Pause deadlifts are brutal, my knees shake like crazy holding the weight. They so far seem to be the type of lift that will do nice things to my pull.
