Deadlift day, Light day 4-3-12

My first 6 or 7 weeks im going to be pulling raw with a regular bar to try and work on some deficiencies ive built up from strictly training in gear for almost 5 years.

Deadlift raw no belt, pause at the top

My hands were raw after this. Our "regular bar" is very thick. Id say in between a regular 55lb squat bar and a mastadon.

I recently got a pair of Pendlay olympic squat shoes since Im going to be lifting raw. I like them ALOT super supportive and gripping. I decided to throw them on to do

These all felt really good and moved pretty well. I think they are going to help me in the long run with keeping my chest up and power out of the hole.

Pretty light day but a good amount of volume! My hips are really feeling no gear though, pretty rough for the first few sets. Its going to pay off in the end I KNOW IT!
