Training 5-2-13 (with photo for Jo Jordon)
I was at a total disavantage today during my training. Due to allergies or maybe pink eye I had to wear my glasses instead of contact lenses and I was just totally thrown off. All I know is I woke up with a goopy porn star eye this morning, so whatever that is I have. The whole world looks like I'm walking on a giant swiss ball when I'm wearing my glasses and my balance sucks. My driving ain't so hot either. I'm just not used to wearing my nerd goggles. I guess pink eye is impervious to the mystical Tornado necklace because it's having no effect at all.
But I forged ahead and did this:
Snatch pull-Power snatch from floor-hang snatch combos: I did a bunch and just worked up but I was really off. My glasses actually flew off my head twice. I was just getting more and more pissed the whole time.
Snatch grip hang high-pull: 5 sets of 5 with 125kgs
Shrugs with cambered bench bar:
Chest supported rows: 12, 12, 10, 8, 16
Standing abs: 4 x 10
In the afternoon I worked with my girl Zelyx, she banged out 120kgx3, 130x1 front squats at the end of her workout. Damn that girl is fast and strong. I'm going to try to bring her out to the EFS Learn to Train Seminar with me if we can somehow swing it. We took a photo of her "posterior chain" after she trained. Jo Jordon, eat your heart out! Zelyx and I will be at the East Coast Classic Olympic lifting meet this Saturday out at Crossfit Collective in Lancaster PA. Come on out and watch her lift and see me walk around drinking coffee as I try to avoid actually helping.
