Training Thursday 6-6-13

Hey all, sorry for yesterdays post. For some reason I have been full of rage and hate lately.

I went out yesterday and did a sort of introduction to the Highland Games events lesson to a girl from the gym named Nikita. She is big, strong, young and has college throwing experience. She is a quick learner and has definite potential to be a good highland athlete. I, on the other hand, totally sucked a bag of dicks. After not touching any of the events for over two years I was rusty as hell. It was almost hard for me to believe that I was actually good at that sport at one time. Oh well, I just need more practice.

My workout today:

Clean combos- one high pull, one hang clean and one press: worked up to 120kgs. After that we dropped the weight on the bar on each set and added a pull and a press on each set down to 80kgs.

Superset press behind neck/side raise: 5 sets of 10/10

Preacher curl machine: 5 sets

Incline dumbbell curls: 4 sets
