Goodmornings and raw bench
Wednesday was a raw lower body day. I usually do a squat or deadlift variation, but decided to throw in a cycle of goodmornings to better address my lagging lower back.
Decided on the safety squat bar since we have one at EVF Performance where I do my mid-week training.
Long story short, These sucked! I worked up (if you can call it that) to just 155 for the 3 sets of five. I could have done more, but I wanted to re-introduce goodmornings slowly since my back has been a little bit of an issue over the last couple of years.
It's official, I f'n hate ss bar goodmornings.
Moved on to some more k-bell windmills, which I think are starting to address some of my hip mobility issues. Finished with some band pulldown abs
Thursday's benching went quite a bit better then the goodmornings. I started a cycle of raw bench with a pinky-on-the-line grip. The goal was 3 sets of 5 with 260, pushing the reps on the last one if I could. I wound up doing 2 sets of 5 then 12 on the final set. More then I thought I would get which is a good sign!
Finished with some push-ups in the low rings and band pushdown abs.
