Raw bench for reps
Thursday was a raw bench day, and although I finished my 3-week wave, I decided to add a 4th week for a couple of reasons.
First, I'm planing on taking this week off to rest up for this weekend's UGSS, and I didn't want to start a new wave then immediately miss a week.
Second, The previous week was easier than expected, and i felt like I could establish a new 5-rep max.
Warmed up with my usual routine of repping the bar and bitching about my tight shoulders, then went:
95 x 5
135 x 5
185 x 1
225 x 1
275 x 1
320 x 5
The 320 was EASY, and I felt like I could have gone 5-10 lbs heavier. I stuck where I was because I am still in "try not to f*ck myself up mode" until my meet cycle officially starts.
After the benching, I dod some pullups with a 20lb chain around my neck. Got to 4 sets of 5 with this set-up.
Finished with 4 sets of 15 band pushdowns with an average band
