Event Training

I am currently training for The 2014 Arnold Amateur Strongman Fitness World Championships. This will be held at The Arnold Sports Festival Feb. 28th through March 2nd in Columbus, Ohio. I’ll be competing in the Lightweight 185# division.

I went ahead and hit some events today and will be hitting my lower body work this weekend at UGSS. I had planned to do events Saturday at UGSS and lower body today, but since the temperature Saturday morning in London, OH is supposed to be 29 degrees and it was 75 degrees here in Paducah, KY today - I decided to get my outside event work done today. And I'll be hitting my lower body work at UGSS.

And if you're at LTT7 this weekend be sure to come up and say hi.

A. Circus DB Clean & Press (clean each rep)
Worked up to 125 x 7 on right side.
Worked up to 125 x 5 on left side.

I had more reps on the right side, but the collars came lose when I dropped the 7th rep causing the weights to come out of the loadable DB. Also, I'm still getting used to the feel of this new dumbbell.

B. Yoke Walk
390 x 80 ft.
480 x 80 ft.
570 x 80 ft. - Add belt
620 x 80 ft. - Add belt
570 x 80 ft. - Remove belt
390 x 80 ft.

Looking forward to LTT7,
Chase Karnes
