Log Press 300x3, Strict Press 240x4 w/VIDEO and More.

I am currently training for The 2014 Arnold Amateur Strongman Fitness World Championships. This will be held at The Arnold Sports Festival Feb. 28th through March 2nd in Columbus, Ohio. I’ll be competing in the Lightweight 185# division.

Everything is feeling really good. My weight is dropping, my strength/power is solid and I'm feeling fresh every training session. I'm still adjusting to this lighter bodyweight though. My log and overhead presses felt strong, but a little unstable as you'll see in the videos. I just feel like I'm all over the place. This should get better though as I adjust to this bodyweight. I'm also still messing with my clean. And that's part of my stability probably on my first rep. Since my stomach is getting a lot smaller there's nothing for the log to sit and pivot on like before. I'll figure this out though - no worries. My best on log with 300# is 5, but that was at a bodyweight close to 220. So I'll take hitting 300# for 3 at a bw of 201 yesterday.

I plan to stick with my diet over the Holidays for the most part. I'll probably enjoy 1-2 meals over today and tomorrow, but definitely in moderation and nothing too crazy. Plus there's nothing that just sounds that amazing to eat anyways. I think I'm more hungry for the Arnold than I am any foods.
