Monday - Bench work with CORRECT VIDEO



Sitting at less than 3 weeks out from Arnold

I was telling someone the other day that I dont have super high expectations for this meet. I would love to place, but my number goal is to finish the meet strong, and secondly, place. I always lift to WIN, but I have to see how the chips fall and what position I'm in when the deads start..



THOROUGH WARM-UP

Suitcase carry: 200 yards
Birddog
BW squat


Bench:
425x2
500x2 - 3bd
605x2 - 3bd
705x2 - 2bd - at this point my groove was OFF
750x1 - 1bd - last warm-up
805x1 - 1bd opener roughly
855x1 - 1bd more than second

Bench dip: 3x15
Piston press-down: 3x20
Band fly: 3x20


Good session. At the UGSS the bench session prior, I could not get set-up correctly nor could I find my groove, so I shut it down at 765. Come to find out, it was because I was pressing straight up, and not back. I have no issues ever shutting down a training session that is feeling off. Its just how I do things. Paul key straightened me out after the 705 and I grooved the rest much better. Thanks to Paul for all of his help!

I'm taking an opener to chest next week, and that will be it on bench. Feeling good considering where I'm at in training.
