When my wife arrived my son was in this position, clearly waiting for his Pre-Workout to kick in...

This concluded my wife's REAL First Week of training for Weightlifting and she kicked much tail. Although she broke Personal Records, it is more important that this point for her to learn what she is doing wrong, to do it RIGHT, and to feel what RIGHT feels like so that she can repeat it.


40 x 3 x 3
50 x 3 x 3
60 x 3
70 x 2
80 x 1 or 2
90 x 2
100 x 1 and 1 miss
80 x 3

100 x couple of high power cleans and/or misses
100 x 1...PR into a front squat

My Wife:
warm ups

42.5 x 1 (43 is her PR)
45 x 5 misses

46 x 4 misses
46 x 1...PR

Clean and Jerk
warm ups
50 x 1
52.5 x 1
55 x 1
57.5 x 1 (her BIG PR is 59)
60 x 1...PR

We both finished off with accessory work and then ate till we passed out...which didn't take long before we passed out.

My wife has lost 8 kg and gotten stronger. Hopefully we can continue her trend of fixing technical errors and having fun all the way to Worlds at the end of August.
