Event Day

I am currently training for The 2014 North American Strongman (NAS) National Championship. It will be held Oct. 4th & 5th in Reno, NV. I'm also adjusting to raising a new baby boy while still working, training and living life.

I can tell my deload week is coming up soon as this day was rough. Overall I had a pretty good day, but felt pretty crappy. Some nagging aches and pains are starting to show up and I just didn't feel as crisp, explosive and fast as usual. But this is by design from a programming standpoint. So while it sucks during the session I do know why. Plus it's expected. This was the heaviest, most intense event day of this training block. This was also a week where I had to train three days back to back due to my schedule. Not ideal, but it was the only option.
